Snippetspeed powered away for a solid victory in the $50,000 3YO C&G Maiden (1400m) event at Warwick Farm on November 28.

Racing on heavy 8 track, the son of Snippetson, jumped positively and travelled three wide out of trouble until Corey Brown pushed the go button upon straightening for a dominant 1.5 length win over Canyonero.

“That was a terrific win, he really hit the line well.

“As you can see, he’s a decent sized horse which means he’s also been a bit of a late bloomer and the ownership group have been great to allow us to give him the time to develop,” said co-trainer Paul Snowden.

“Corey opted to keep him wide and stay out of trouble and as a result he held great momentum in his run today.

“He’s a lovely horse who should only get better over more distance.

Owned by Mr R J Visalli, Mr M D Gorman, Mr A E V Smith, Snippetspeed has won and placed second from just three starts for $42,550 in prizemoney.
