The racey Hellbent filly was purchased for $140,000 from the Yarraman Park draft. Stable graduates from the farm include King Of Sparta, California Zimbol and Flippant.
First season sire Hellbent has got off to a flying start with multiple winners and has had the stakes performers Bohemian Daisy and our very own, Miss Hellfire show a lot of promise for the young stallion. Hellbent‘s sire, I Am Invincible continues to be a consistent source of quality and Hellbent has the attributes required to follow in his fathers footsteps.
This filly’s dam, Never Doubt Me was extremely hardy, winning eleven times, four as a two-year-old and at Metropolitan level. Never Doubt Me‘s sire, Not A Single Doubt has been a phenomenal success at stud and is tipped to be a leading broodmare sire in the future. As a broodmare sire he has already been responsible for the likes of Enthaar, Shaquero, Seasons Bloom (HK G1 Winner) and Miss Hipstar.
The filly has many attributes of her pedigree on paper. With a very deep girth, she has a lot of power behind the saddle and walks much like a Not A Single Doubt. Very athletic looking, she appears capable of taking to training as a two-year-old with an eye on next years Inglis Millennium for $2,000,000.
Now’s the time to race a horse in New South Wales! Effective from July 1, 2022 Racing NSW has increased prizemoney across the board, with Saturday metropolitan races now worth $150,000, midweek metropolitan races $55,000, provincial $40,000 and country TAB $25,00. Group 1 races will now be worth a minimum $600,000.
