Under the expert guidance of in-form apprentice jockey Winona Costin who was able to claim 1.5kg, the daughter of Exceed And Excel sat patiently just off the speed before an opportunity presented to scoot up the inside rail in the benchmark 67 handicap over 1100 metres.
The bob of the head win ahead of Shamfrancisco presented winning owners Mr Wang and Mr Zhang with two wins and two third from just four career starts.
“We weren’t sure how she was going to handle the heavy (9) track but she came through in the nick of time thanks to a smart, patient ride along the rails.” said Peter Snowden.
“We’ll continue to progress this filly through the grades and hopefully get a few more wins on the board for her connections.”
