Sebring's Sister Sizzles

Feb 26, 2016

Smart three-year-old Falkenburg and Kerrin McEvoy ended the day on a high with a winning double for Snowden Racing in the Hawkesbury Equine Veterinary Centre Maiden Plate (1400m).

The full sister to Widden Stud’s hot young sire Sebring jumped beautifully from the widest gate to sit up outside of the leader for the seven furlong journey until McEvoy asked her to extend at the 200 metres.

Here the race-favourite easily accounted for her nearest competitors bounding away with a one and a half-length victory over Macavity.

“She’s an above average filly on the way up and that was a good solid win.

“It’s a great way to end the day,” said Paul Snowden.

Owned by Anthony and George Altomonte’s Corumbene Stud, the daughter of More Than Ready out of Purespeed will be aimed at the Group 3 Keith Nolan at Kembla Grange on March 11.
