First Approval Passes Test

Aug 01, 2016

Race-favourite First Approval stole the show in the Rose Todner 2YO Maiden Plate (1300m) at Kembla Grange on the last day of the 2015-16 Australian racing season.

The handsome son of Northern Meteor out of Exhibit was tucked away beautifully along the inside rail by Mitch Bell before he peeled out in the home straight and knuckled down in the final 100 metres for an impressive 0.2 length over Chaussure.

Owned by Newgate Farm, China Horse Club, Segenhoe, Matthew Sandblom’s Horse Ventures and Ron Gilbert Homes, First Approval notched up Snowden Racing’s 138th winner for the season and will now head to the spelling paddock before embarking on exciting three-year-old year ahead.
