Eva Luna Bolts In Maiden

Aug 22, 2016

Eva Luna absolutely bolted away to break her maiden in the Brock Ryan Maiden Handicap (1600m) at Kembla Grange on August 20.

Beautifully ridden by Mitchell Bell who had the four-year-old mare perfectly poised one out and one back in fourth position, the daughter of Encosta De Lago simply let rip once balanced in the home straight to record a dominant 5.5 length victory ahead of Lamma Hamilton.

“What a top performance! Not many can win their maiden by five lengths but this girl smashed it,” said co-trainer Paul Snowden.

“Mitch gave her a faultless ride and I’m sure they’ll be more wins in store for (owner) Mrs Redmond.”
