Molten Too Strong

Aug 20, 2017

Well-bred colt Molten and jockey Josh Adams proved far too strong in the $30,000 Jeff Penza Maiden Handicap (1200m) and Kembla Grange on August 19. By Street Cry out of Planet Rock, the $650,000 Inglis Easter graduate from Sledmere Stud sat wide on the outside in blustery conditions and took it up to the leader at the 750 metre mark.

The pair then pulled away and dug deep to hold off fast finishing stablemate Longmu which gave Team Snowden the race quinella.

Owned by China Horse Club Racing Pty Ltd, Vinery Stud, Barneswood Farm Limited, and Winstar Farm Llc Molten has won one race from three starts with more success to come.
