Surging To Win did just that in the opener at Canberra on December 17 to record a maiden victory in the $20,000 Telstra Business Centre Fyshwick Handicap (1200m).
Guided by in-form Winona Costin, the Inglis Easter three-year-old son of I Am Invincible took to the lead straight away and never looked back for a dominant 2.6 length win ahead of Vigorish.
Owned by Trevor Stuckey, and sisters Penny and Susan Yan of Racing To Win and Shooting To Win fame, Surging To Win’s success marked the fourth winner for Team Snowden and various connections in just three days.
