Temprado And Classic Thoughts Dominate

Feb 20, 2018

A winning Saturday double at Newcastle proved a delight for connections of Temprado and Classic Thoughts.

Temprado broke his maiden record in terrific style when he fought hard to just get the better of Cappamore in the $30,000 event over 1400m at Newcastle on February 17.

Owned by Greg and Donna Kolivos, the three-year-old son of Pierro settled mid-field for Adrian Layt and enjoyed the solid tempo behind tear away leader Puland Pula, before the pair worked home and stretched out successfully in the final stages.

Two races later So You Think mare Classic Thoughts delivered an impressive run down the Newcastle straight to win by a length in a convincing display to also break her maiden status in a $30,000 event over 1850m.

Ridden perfectly by Mitchell Bell, the four-year-old sat towards the rear of the field and gradually worked her way in to calculations with a momentous length victory to give Triple Crown a winning double with Snowden Racing for the day, courtesy of Emperor’s Way dead-heat finish at Randwick.
