Race-favourite Toroso recorded his second career win comfortably in the $30,000 Pacific West Foods Aust Class 2 Handicap (1600m) at Hawkesbury on June 21.

The three-year-old son of Pierro saved ground on the rail just off the leaders until Tye Angland peeled out wide approaching the home turn which allowed the gelding to gain momentum and draw clear late to beat Typhoon Charlie by 1.75 lengths.

Owned by Greg and Donna Kolivos, famous for racing star racehorse-come stallion Pierro, Toroso has recorded two victories, both at Hawkesbury and under Angland, from just five starts for a tick under $50,000.
