Snowden Racing dominated the Kembla Grange card with a total of four winners including Spin, Navigator, More Moet and She’s Furline on August 4.
The Triple Crown-owned More Moet stayed on strongest when stepping up to 2400m in the $30,000 Benchmark 64 Handicap. Dropping back in grade, the five-year-old More Than Ready gelding travelled superbly into the race and kicked early in the straight, holding off the attentions of race favourite Everly Girl in the closing stages to win by a quarter of a length.
“We saw the More Moet of old today and delighted he was able to stick on, tough it out and come home with the goods for a very happy bunch of owners,” said co-trainer Paul Snowden who was on hand at Kembla.
Promising I Am Invincible filly She’s Furline, settled at the rear and made her way around the field to easily take out the $30,000 F&M Maiden Plate (1200m) with stablemate Furlana runner up.
Raced by Stonestreet Farm, Aquis Farm and Peter Leidel, She’s Furline, who ran third to Group 2 winning filly Pure Elations on March 28, was a $500,000 Gold Coast Magic Millions purchase from the Mill Park Stud draft.
“We’ve had a great day out with four winners but we came here today with a solid team thinking they would all run very well. She’s Furline just topped everything off perfectly, so a huge thank you to our owners and staff for their support and hard work,” added Snowden.
