She's 'Wayupinthesky!'

Mar 28, 2019

Arrowfield Stud's champion sire Snitzel has been rocketing through March with what seems like multiple winners every day of the month and Wednesday was no different with a flurry of winners including the juvenile trifecta on the fillies maiden at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

A $400,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Arrowfield draft for Kitchwin Hills, the Peter and Paul Snowden trained filly Wayupinthesky appreciated a drop back to maiden class having finished a good fifth on debut in the Group II ATC Reisling Stakes.

She was a short priced favourite and pulled out plenty under pressure to score a short head win over the Godolphin entry Badia, ironically a $600,000 Magic Millions purchase for Godolphin from the Kitchwin Hills draft.

They were a length and a half in front of the third horse home Our Girl Sniti, yet another daughter of Snitzel.

Wayupinthesky is the first winner for The Darling One, a Group II placed Lonhro mare from the family of Group II winner and $1.5 million earner Rain Affair.

Congratulations to her owners Mr. Max Whitby & Mr. Neil Werrett.
